87o right now... The temperature got up to 90o a little bit later. That's pretty hot for October up north.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The nasty hotel in Cranberry Twp, PA was still nicer than most of the college dorm rooms.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
...but on the far side, the IM Room is now twice as big as before, and all the AstroTurf is gone.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
This looks about the same.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Exercise equipment takes the place of the old college bookstore, now also over in the new Breen Student Union.

The backside of Rockwell.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
WSAJ-FM broadcasts live across the Quad in front of Ketler.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
All of the buildings have these new signs in front of them now.

That's my freshman year window in Ketler, 1983 - 1984.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Ketler Rec - where thousands of Ping Pong games were played... but none today. The tables are folded up in the back for the events of the day.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The old laundry room in Ketler... updated with new equipment.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Stairway from Ketler Mid-floor. The dorms are like mazes.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Lauren stands in front of my freshman dorm room in Ketler on Mid-floor. It was a single when I had it, but now it's double.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Mid-floor in Ketler. Steve's room on the right is now joined with my old room apparently. His door doesn't open.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
People start gathering on E. Pine St. for the parade.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We got a shady spot across from the Post Office up on some church steps. It's already starting to get really warm.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The parade finally gets started down E. Pine St.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The Grove City College Marching Band starts in.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The parade route was different than in years past. It caught a lot of people by surprise, but we were fine where we were.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The parade came up Broad St. instead of turning right onto it.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The Okie float.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The Grove City College Marching Band moves up Broad St. to our left.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The Sig-Thet & Adel float.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
A high school marching band comes through. They sounded really good to me. I can't remember where they were from.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We moved over to Broad St. after the end of the parade passed E. Pine St.. This is the ABT & Beta-Sig float.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Upclose to the high school marching band.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
I always love the drums...

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
"It's so loud... but it doesn't hurt!" is how I describe the sound and feel of real drums.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We walk back up to campus after the parade. This is MAP - West where often ate on campus, except weekends.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Andrea's crew lived up there on the 2nd floor for several years.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Lincoln 111 - where I lived my sophomore year, with Mark Garratt in AEX.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The old AEX sign hangs off of Lincoln.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Another shot of Lincoln.

...and my other, less popular, window.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The view from my more popular window in Lincoln 116A.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
They still don't get any respect here.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
4th section, Lincoln. I don't think we had a water fountain out there back in 1987.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
It's really hot now, and we're walking down to the old McD's in town for lunch. This is the back side of Ketler.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Rainbow Bridge shot all the way from Main St. on our walk to McD's.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
A new dorm down past the football field.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
I missed the 1987 20th class photo on the steps of Rockwell, so Lauren took my picture there later after lunch.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
It's even hotter now and I'm starting to get sunburned, so we head into Rockwell looking for a break from the heat. We didn't find it.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
The new Breen Student Union has probably got A/C. BTW, it is only at this point in the day that I realize that Calderwood is gone.
Most of my math classes were in Calderwood.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We take a break in the circle in the shade by the big rock. Lauren is hot and maybe getting a bit grumpy.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Box #789 - Not the same one, not even in the same building, but that was my old box #.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
On the roof of the Computer Center. It was built after my first year here and is now completely different inside, as you would imagine.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
One last shot over the upper campus fields as we walk back to the car and head back to the hotel.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We're going to go find Chris' old house now. This was her exit off of I-79.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
A shot of Soergel Orchards on the way to Chris' house.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Chris' old house has changed alot.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
More new stuff on the back side, too.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
My old house from high school in Upper St. Clair looks like new.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
...New driveway, bricks, door, shutters, and windows. Seems like all the houses in the neighborhood have been fixed up.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We visit Hays Park in our old neighborhood. New playground equipment, but still pretty much the same.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
When we'd play ball, this was the view from home plate. In the tennis court was a home run.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Found Boyce Middle School, where I went in 8th grade when we moved to PA.
Looks pretty much the same. The fading sunlight only let us get the side.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We also found our old church, which was St. Clair Bible Chapel at the time. Now it is New Day Assembly of God.
Pastor Jeff Marshall just happened to be there and was walking out as we pulled up. He took us in and gave us a tour.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Looks like they use real drums. How nice that they accomodate the music ministry and musicians that play authentic instruments.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Built right into the left side of the platform is a plexiglass enclosed room, where the drums are mic'd. That's a serious set.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
This is where we had Youth Group every Tuesday night.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
We make it home on Sunday, and on Monday the kids take turns locking each other in the trunk
of the rental car and testing the emergency trunk release.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
Now it's Lauren's turn.

Grove City College 2007 Homecoming, Oct 06, 2007
"Got her!"
